The Challenge

Eddie Maalouf and Ashton Shanks wanted to host an incredible event that would cater to only high-level executives who make a minimum of $5,000,000 a year. However, he was faced with the challenge of competing with events that were happening within the same time frame as his, such as T&C and CES, which took up almost every venue that they had their eye on.


What made things worse was that they needed to plan an afterparty for their event and were going nowhere with the resources they had. They also had the desire to ensure their event would operate without opting for a sponsorship booth; this would make sure they kept everything under their control and kept it as high quality as possible for their attendees.


Trafficking conversions were also another hurdle they had to overcome, and all of this had to be taken care of within six days. Eddie had previously worked with KLEVR, and knowing KLEVR’s current track record, he reached out to us to see if we could make this work.


And if we’re known for one thing, it’s making magic happen when it comes to planning and creating world-class events, even in a pinch. We wasted no time and got straight to work.

The Solution

KLEVR worked closely with Eddie and Ashton to exhaust and leverage all connections to secure a unique one that would allow us to slap their branding across all walls through 3D virtual image mapping projection.


The idea of a Casino Royale, which you may have heard from our other case study of Ben Newman’s Las Vegas Boot Camp, was proposed to make it appealing for sponsors to have their logos plastered all across the felts on the dealer tables as well as the poker chips themselves. This gave the overall experience a very unique vibe, as regular poker sets would have completely misaligned the design and feel of the event.


Within one single day, the team designed the entire event. Covering everything from the overall event experience, the ecosystem of the attendees in the event, and the run-of-show that would dictate the entire process and schedule of the event, making it easy for everyone behind the scenes to effectively execute each step of the event harmoniously.


With all of this done, the strategy that KLEVR, Eddie, and Ashton executed resulted in approximately $140,000 in sponsorship alone. Now I don’t know about you, getting results like this within a 6-day time frame and having a single day to plan the overall structure all while getting a result like that. We consider that a smashing success.


The attendees loved the experience of our Casino Royale afterparty. Everyone was given buy-in chips to play against other attendees, and the dice were rolling that night. The walls were plastered with Eddie and Ashton’s branding, which was a huge attraction for attendees. Several attendees were pulling out their phones only to take a great shot of how cool the logo appeared on the wall.

This event was a massive success, not only for KLEVR but also for Eddie and Ashton. With only 6 days, our combined efforts managed to not only save this idea but also put forward results Eddie and Ashton did not even think possible.
